WEBQUEST 1: PRESENT PERFECT
Introduction:
Help. My daughter came to me today and said that she still can’t the hand on the present perfect though she’s been studying English for three years now. This is what I suggested to her. You, too, can benefit from it. This Present Perfect WebQuest will provide you with the opportunity to learn about the structure and the different uses of the present perfect tense.
Task:
You will search the internet in order to learn about the present perfect.
You will listen to a song with the present perfect in it.
You will write down the different uses of the present perfect tense.
You will write down the usual time expressions used in the present perfect tense.
Process:
1. Go to englishpage in the “Resources” section and look at the form of the present perfect tense.
2. Scroll down the same website and look at the different uses of the present perfect tense.
3. Pick up the time expressions often used with the present perfect from the same page.
4. Go to YouTube link in the resource section and listen to the song “I haven’t got what I wanted” by The Hangovers.
5. Play a few games with the present perfect by visiting sites 3, 4,

WEBQUEST 2: CLIMATE CHANGE.
1. Introduction
Global warming, floods, droughts, a lot of diseases, to name only a few, are the result of climate change. This climate change is partially natural and partially the result of human activity. So, it is morally incumbent on each and every one of us to do their fair share to protect Mother Earth. Yours, today, is to sensitize people in your school to the dangers of climate change.
2. Task:
You will be working in a team of four people who have been selected to give a PowerPoint presentation on climate change and how it can endanger life on earth. You should search the different climate change causes and list what people can do to alleviate the problem. Each of you will take turn telling the audience about the facts, causes, dangers, and the potential solutions to climate change.
3. Process:
1. Go to the websites 1 through 5 in the “Resources” section and read about climate change facts, its causes, and possible solutions.
2. You can also watch videos on climate change at the sites 6 and 7 in the “Resources” section.
3. You may also go to www.nationalgeographic.com and type your question in the “search box” and you’ll get dozens of results.
4. Armed with your camera, go out and take pictures of disposed of plastic bags, burned trees, polluted water and so on to support your presentation.
5. Design a check list to give the audience at the end of the presentation to evaluate how much effect your talk had on them.

5. Conclusion
Now you understand that Mother Earth has given us a lot without return though we are not grateful to her and “Ingratitude is treason to mankind.” We abused her, destroyed her, and poisoned all the creatures that live on her including ourselves. The health of our planet and our survival depends a lot on how responsible we treat our Mother Earth and how responsible we use her resources. Everyone is responsible: you, me, and everyone else.
